I saw the post earlier, and know all the things like oil pans and pulleys, but im hooking up a 91 efi motor to a T5z and and wondering if the efi and injection is worth trying to use. obviously i dont want all the smog stuff, wont use teh AC/PS, and wont have all of the sensors. how "stand alone" is teh computer? i have the comp, the harness and the complete intake system, including mass air, throttle body and all.

Can i just supply the computer with power, and hook everything up fro the computer and expect the timing and injection to work properly, and together?

if you guys could let me know how well this will work, or things to worry about, let me know.

i know i need a fuel pump, and return line...

thanks

Talk to Jerry at ABC Mustang in Hayward, CA. He just did a set-up in my friend's 68. He put an 89 5.0 in it. His number is (510) 886-TANG (8264). I'm sure he'll point you in the right direction.

Jerry is very knowledgeable, I have talked to him and he has helped me many times ....hes a very good guy. The Mustangs Plus catalog has a step by step article on how to do the late model drivetrain into the early model conversion. I highly recommend going to EFI. It may appear painstaking at first, but its well worth it in the long run.
