I'm trying like hell to dial my car in and I'm having fuel pressure problems. I bought a new regulator thinking it was my problem. I had the other one turned to the max and could only get 40-41 psi out of it. I get a new one and it works only temporarily. I had it dialed to 44 psi and at the end of a test drive (which went well) it was down to 42 again Seems like it's working it's way back down again. I don't get it Both regulators are Holley's. Is it a possible fuel pump problem? Anyone have some ideas on things to check?

maybe it is a fuel pump going out.do you have a inline and a intank? if so maybe the inline died and is restricting the fuel flow.

Try to isolate the problem.... put the stock regulator back on and see if it sticks to ~40 psi. If it reads abnormal for a stock regulator, check for kinks in the line (return line first)..

You are having the same symptoms I had when my 190 lph pump was going out. I swapped it for a 255 and haven't had problems since.

Pump, I have seen it on many cars. Dead head the pump and see what peak pressure is [ August 02, 2003, 11:33 PM: Message edited by: jmcclesk ]

Thanks for the input. Mike has a spare fuel pump for me to try. I'll give it a shot.
