whats up... im planning on getting headers for my ride and just wondering what short tube headers are good (FRPP, JBA, ETC...) i have an x-pipe w/cats and 2 chamber flows, so any suggestions will help! THANKS... jon

Whats keeping you from going to longtubes? (there are ways around smog) I dont think shorties are worth it. If you do go with shorties, just get the FRPP ones.

IMHO, shorties are not worth the money. Either keep the stock manifolds or get L/Ts. Maybe the new Bassanni mid lengths.

I have the FMS shorties and I'm sorry I did it. If you can hold a set in your hand and stick your finger in to one of the primaries, you will see why. The rear primaries stick well in to the log and restrict everything else.

i was planning on buying hooker long tubes with the matching xpipes but started stressing about the smog. then again still having 50/50 thoughts of getting it! anyways thanks...

LT's are the way to go and the install is the same. If you do go with shorties get the JBAs they are the only shorty that has a CARB number.

what about the bassani mid-length headers? that would involve fabricating a crossover though right [Confused]

There's an article on them in a recent 5.0 mag. It said that they will bolt up to an X pipe. I don't know how this is accomplised though, seeing as how they are longer than a stock manifold or shorty?
