i just bought a set of bbk long tube header w/matching off road h pipe for $200
i currently have a set of mac unequal shorty headers with matching off road h pipe. i just wanted to know how much of a improvment these long tubes make over shortys.hp and torque changes?
i using these on my stock short block w/gt40 iron heads and intake. stock cam.
i think i'll gain 2 tenths and like 3 mph in the 1/8 mile .

I doubt youll gain that much. With a mild combo, long tubes will rob power and torque. If you had n2o or a blower, i'd say +3mph is easily attainable with the addition of long tubes.

Cool. High flowing/revving combo's benefit greatly from free flowing exhaust.

....With a mild setup, Id bet that the difference in headers is minimal even on a 125 shot. not quite sure how great the drop off will be on the street.

i have an f 303 cam just need someone to help me install it and degree it right. i have 4:10 with auburn posi. et streets
my friend and i are gonna remove the gt40 irons and get them ported by f&r perfomance in tustin $400 .(my friend got 11.60's consistanly with the same heads..i feel good about the idea
mind you that i drive like 100 miles a week. to work and the track and back.
we are saving up for d.s.s 306 pro bullet short block so we aren't to concern about street drivablity yet
i already bought the long tubes, you think it'll be worse than unequal shorties

Its not the best combo and you MIGHT lose a little power, but its still a step in the right direction. The cam, head work, n2o, etc. will compliment the long tubes nicely. Good buy.

I picked up almost exactly 1 mph or 8-10 HP from stock headers + off-road pipe to longtubes + offroad pipe, no other changes.
