Very Solid #'s. I wonder where it peaks? Probably pretty high. Very impressive none the less.

Large heads, large intake, open exhaust, & 31 degrees of overlap @.050. What did you expect?

For 302 cubes, that is absolutely awesome....hum, 40 more cubes, 1.5:1 more compression, ported heads and intake, I wonder what it could do??????

I guess 388 rwhp is what you see all the time with 100+k mile stock shortblocks? Indeed, what should we expect?

You want my opinion? Okay.. It's a high reving motor. I doubt it makes 300RWTQ till nearly 5K RPM. Most Stock shortblock 302's with 50-60HP less make 300RWTQ at 3500 RPM.
Not really the typical street-car most of us drive around. 4.56's, spool, k-member...probably surprisingly light for a vert. It's a track-car that *can* be driven on the street. Not the typical weekend warrior most of us have. I know I wouldn't drive a 4.56 geared & spooled stang on the street...at least not very often. Yes, it is VERY impressive at the track. Typical Anderson high-reving motor.. They do perform well at the track.
Just me, but I'd give up 20HP for 20TQ (360/350RW) if it were to be a street car/weekend warrior. & If I were building a track-only car with the stock shortblock....wouldn't you like to know.

I don't think anyone's seen the dyno graph yet, so to speculate on the peak rpm and draw conclusions based on that is a bit pointless. This is still a hyrdraulic roller. Other 302's on Anderson's site make peak HP at 6000 ish rpm's, I don't think this is any different...

His sig on the corral says he's got a spool. & 3050 w/driver...it should be doing more then 122mph with the HP it put out.
Don't get me wrong, it's impressive at the track....but on the whole, it's not really something that impresses me. 31 degrees of overlap & 331RWTQ....just doesn't add up in my book. I bet it's a dog till 4000rpm....then it just takes off.
If you do go LS1 let me know. I've got a cam for ya! [ April 28, 2003, 10:57 PM: Message edited by: 93PONY ]

I've speced a few LS1 cams... Really depends on the setup, but I concentrate on Stock heads, LS6 intake, & open exhaust with gears. For a smogable cam they're limited....still would probably see 400RWHP & 365+RWTQ & shifts in the upper 6K rpm range. Mild idle, daily driven....nothing special.
For non-smogable cams....
