Here's a question: Who makes a good set of wires for my 1997 Mustang GT? I've seen Accel, Taylor, Screamin' Demon, etc...also, I've heard going over 8.8mm on stock coilpacks is a bit overkill. Also, where can I get a set of O2 sensors? (Remember, I have 4 of them, 3-wire variety), the two 'Pre-cat' sensors are swappable but the two 'after-cat' sensors are not.
Another quick question, I've seen MSD, Accel and Screamin' Demon coil packs, are all of them pretty good?
Thanks!

I've always liked Taylor wires...They are kinda expensive, but are great quality..I've never heard of anyone complaining about Taylor's either..I would try to stay away from any universal plug wires, only buy wire's that are specifically for your application--(I'm sure you knew that)
First why are you buying new O2's?...Second I would make sure that if you buy new O2's you only buy Bosch...Bosch O2's are factory and they sell Bosch O2's anywhere, PepBoys, Kragen and other retail auto parts stores...
What mods do you have on your 4.6?...I think it would be smarter to spend money on somthing else other than coil-packs...Stock ignition is pretty good, unless you really need a little more spark for NOS or a 10lb psi supercharger..

Yeah, I've seen Taylor's made for the 4.6 specifically.
Also, I don't think the 02's have been changed since the car was new in 1997, it runs strong, but when I goose it from idle, I can smell it running a bit rich. I'll replace the wires first, but if it keeps doin' it, next will be 02 sensors.
No real mods yet, been busy trying to work and save money. Do have a new K&N filter in the airbox, and no silencer, that's about it.

Construction on the 4.6L Taylor wires isn't as good as others we've used. We prefer either MSD or Accel wires, although we've just switched to MSD. They used to only come in red but just came out with black. Red wires are certainly a tougher sell for me than black! I have the black MSD wires in stock for all 5.0 and 4.6 Mustangs. PM me for pricing!

Thats odd. Cole at HCI told me they had good results with Taylor but to stay away from MSD.

Thanks for the reponses, guys, I really appreciate it!
Now about the O2 sensors? I'm guessing they're not working as well anymore, since my car smells like it's running a tad rich when I really gun it. Like I mentioned before, I'm quite sure the sensors are the stock from when the car was new, unless there is a different problem. Hey Bill @ Apex, you sell those too?
Also, I was talking to a friend who runs a parts shoppe up in Danville (Danville Auto Supply - Milo), and he suggested a company called 'Kem', they make Mag-core wires, which he said last a lot longer than the Carbon core wires that everyone else makes. Plus he said they are a lot more effecient. Any opinions?
Thanks!

O2 sensors typically last ~60k miles before they need to be replaced. However, they really start to get 'lazy' (toggle slowly) at about the 50k mile range. I do carry Bosch and NTK (NGK) O2 sensors. You can email, PM, or call me for pricing. I have them in stock, as well as the MSD wires, which we've had great experiences with!

Cant comment on the wires but as for the O2's... The fronts (pre-cats) are the only ones that control your mixture, the rears(post cat) are only there to check cat effciency, if you dont have a MIL light come on, leave the rears alone. Seeing as how even two of those little buggers are expensive you might want to find a good shop to check the front O2's. They can get old and read improperly or not react quickly enough, a good shop should know how to check these out properly.
