Any of you guys know about boring over a 4.6??? One of my friends is building his and he didn't think it'd be a good idea to bore it since the cylinder walls are pretty thin and he's wanting to hit a 200 shot when he's done. Would the walls be too thin to run that much nos if he bored it .030 over??? Thanks.

Talk to shops like Sean Hyland Motorsports about this. They've been doing it as long as anyone.

i have mine bored .20 over, and u can find a piston of the shelf that will fit that.i was told by my engine builder that if u go .30 over for a 4.6 that is more of a specialty piston and it will have to be special ordered and cost a little or a lot more then the .20 pistons. just tell him to get a set of .20 je pistons. thats what what i did for my new motor.
