Author Topic: New parts going on, will it be better twisted54 ¯ Member # 1981 posted                                 The last time I went to the track the best time I could get was 14.39 at roughly 98 mph and I think this was on 7 cylinders with street radials. On 3/22, I'm going again but have added Drag Radials, 4:10s, Crane Ignition, and have resolved the 7 cylinder issue by replacing a burnt out plug wire. How much better should my times be. I figure on adding about .4 tenths for an auto and .2 for the convertable top... God luck... Maybe I'll have my T5 built by then and we could race.. Just when I add something new, something else happens and the good times go out the window. If you could leave at 3500 or higher it would only help. I think I need a higher stall converter. With my street radials, I was leaving the line at 1800rpms and was spinning like crazy.
