mine seems a little soft, should i get a stock replacement or a polyurethane? i have stock motor mounts and dont plan to change those yet. i heard that a urethane tranny mount with stock motor mounts can cause vibration or damage to the tranny. anyone ever try it?

People have gone well into the 10's and probably into the 9's with the stock tranny mounts just fine

My '94 has a Polyurethane trans-mount...It transmits A LOT more road noise than the stock rubber one....I did notice that I chirped the tires easier with the poly. mount..The power seems to go straight to the tires instead of getting absorbed in the rubber mount...
The reason you shouldnt have stock rubber motor-mounts and a poly trans-mount is that the motor-mount will let the motor move but the poly-mount holds the trany still...This cuases a lot of stress on the bellhousing and sometimes cracks it....If your motor mounts are still good it shouldnt be a problem....
I have had no problems with my trany(caused by the trany mount)...I just got to learn not to power-shift 3rd gear..
