Hey guys, is converting 10" flow numbers to 28" linear? I can just multiply all the numbers by 2.8 or is it more complicated than that?

Hmm. I just converted 5 inches yesterday and on a superflow 110(junk). On the superflow conversion chart it does not look linear from what I remember.

Yeah, its not linear for sure... unless stock 5.O heads flow 260 cfm at 500 [Wink]

Can you convert these for me using that chart?

Lift Stock -Stock Ported
Intake
.100 30 36.4
.200 64 74
.300 83.5 102.4
.400 90 112.7
.500 93 118.3
.550 96 119

Exhaust

.100 16 30
.200 49 59.2
.300 59 84.5
.400 63 87.7
.500 - 86.1
.550 - 85.6

Thanks, just going on what typical stock 5.O heads flow (150 cfm), it looks like the correction factor should be around 1.75ish which would mean they flowed about 210cfm ported, and have great mid lift numbers.

I thought the conversion factor was 1.82 but then again I think that is for 12 inches

I found it! I was looking for the conversion factor online when I came across the 10" numbers for a Honda S2000 ( http://alaniztechnologies.com/rsxf20c1flowcahrt.html ) and sure enough, they had the conversion chart:

So I converted the numbers. These ported E7's flow the same as GT40P's on the intake side and about 10ish better than GT40P's on the exhaust side... Check out how they perform:

http://members.sigecom.net/Lorenz/bbbad50/dyno_day.htm

Stock 1989 302 Roller Shortblock

Ported Stock Heads (1.84" Intake, 1.54" Exhaust)

Untouched GT 40 Intake

Crane 2031 Cam

Vortech S-Trim (2.95"/6.87" pulley)

11.13 @ 127 3,370lb 500 rwhp

Race gas used (why wouldn't you on a power adder car?)

My kind of combo. Simple, cheap, and proven over and over for a decade. So I've been pipe dreaming about a nitrous version of this combo.

Dan, didn't you run a similar combo, but with stock heads and how big of a shot to get 114 mph?
