i have some cams that i have no idea on the grinds, anyone know a shop i could take them to find out? bay area preferably, thanks

there should be a 'stamp' on the end that will uniquely identify it, FMS alphabet cams use it and so do comp cams.

reverse engineering a cam isn't simple . Lobe lift requires nothing but a caliper, LSA not much more than a protracter.
edit, measuring duration at a certain height I don't think I could pull off with simple hand tools. Might need to actually put it in a motor in a block and use a dial caliper w/plunger and do it the hard way.

as far as shops? no clue [Confused]

go to elgin cams and crankshafts in redwood city. they can tell you the duration and lift.

i have two cams that have " ZE " stamped on the end......are those the stockers?
