I'm coming up for smog and am getting an air injection code (94 I think). The car is an '89 5.0. The pump is putting out air, the diverter valve sends air to the heads/cats at the appropriate times, the bypass valve vents without vacuum and sends air to the diverter when vacuum is applied, disconnecting the bypass valve solenoid vents the air. I replaced the computer already with the same result.
Any suggestions or recommendations on a good shop?

I can't believe you replaced the computer over this code. EEC's rarely, if ever go bad. Do you have long tubes on by chance? Is this code in memory or given as a result of the engine running test? The solenoids that control the diverter valves are located under the larger EGR solenoid behind the passenger shock tower. Check for vacuunm leaks, ect. in the area. I forgot how I fixed my code 94, I think I replaced the vacuum line since it seemd clogged then used carb cleaner and WD-40 on the valve. I still have a code 44. They both popped up after installing long tubes.

Actually, I replaced the computer after burning it up trying to find the problem. Oops. Gotta keep those wires from getting crossed! I'll check the vacuum lines. Anyone else have any ideas?
