I bought motor mounts a while back like 6 months ago, put them in the garage. I got my engine rebuilt and I go to put them on, and it doesn't say whether each one is R or L. Does it matter? Or are they the same?

They are different. If they are Ford ones, one wil have an R and one will have an L. Otherwise, the locating pin is to the side of the stud on the right mount, and underneath on the left.

do you remember how much you paid for them, each?

just put the more expensive one on the passenger side, someone told me that the convertable motor mounts were better, does anyone know anything about this?

Yes, the vert mounts are much better in design. The vert ones have the bracket that goes through the center of the mount vs. bolting to the top of the mount.

I just picked up a set of these for my coupe (351w) from Autozone- a whoppin' $48 for both [Big Grin]

another easy way to find out which one is which is to try and install them. Won't fit right if you have it backwards or reversed!

btw, I run 'vert mounts too and I believe Ford switched to 'vert mounts for all 302 mustangs in the early 90's.
still, tell them you need 'vert motor mounts at the parts store.

I've had the vert mounts for like 3 months. I was going to change them out for my broken ones but I was too lazy. Now it'll be easier cuz the motor's out.
