Are the interior parts different for the different models? Is there any difference between the GT/LX(assuming they are the same, cause i think they are) to the 4 banger a coupe mustangs, or ex-chp cars? I just bought a 4 banger completly stripped, its an 88, and wondering if I have to order parts specialy for it. Or can I just buy interior parts for an 88 mustang, and it will fit. Thanks guys, i am just not sure if there is a difference between the differen body styles of the 88 mustangs. Thanks everyone

Josh

ok let's see--- '79-'95 mustangs use OHV V8's (or at least many were optioned that way)

except for a few odd-balls, the OHV V8's are almost totally parts-swappable.

'94-'95 is a completely different bodystyle, with the same OHV V8

'96-'98 is a *very similar* body style to the '94-'95 cars (near identical) but with a SOHC or DOHC 4.6 modular

hope this helps [Big Grin]

seats basically are totally interchangeable. I drive 2000 v6 mustang seats in my '93 [Big Grin]
(rears would be different, but my rears are deleted)

I am not sure what a 96 Speedo size is...but Autometer has one. 5" 200 MPH Electronic Speedometer. Programmable speedo will work with 500 to 200,000 pulse/mile sender. (May be used with existing sender if car has one. See sender options on p. 90 to convert from mechanical takeoff.) Also have 5" mechanical 200 speedo. In the 3 3/8 size they also have 160 and 200 speedo. 3-3/8 200 mph electric is part # 4486, 3-3/8 120 is part # 4487 and 3-3/8 160 speedo is part # 4488. 5" 160 speedo is 4489 and the 5" 200 speedo is 4490. Hope this helps you out...those part #'s are above is for the electric speedos.

Im sorry blown, I thought u meant the individual Gauge. They do make guage clusters, http://secure.florida50.com/cgi-bin/raceshop/cat14.html?id=eqkRgVQU go there, and then you can put that 3-3/8 200 mph speedo in one of those that you like.

Hey, i have a pretty good spot. Its on the freeway obviously. But you get on 1 exit, and get off at the next, but right b4 that next exit the freeway goes up. Then starts to go down, so anyone behind you is lost when they are going up, and you are going down. Then once the freeway starts to level out again there is the next exit I am talking about. Prolly send me a PM and I will tell u there. Dont want to hear any crap bout cops or giving spots away(dont believe its a spot though) LOL

87-89 and 90-93 dashes are completly different as well as the clusters. If you want a 140 speedo or some alternative saleen ones it will have to be for a 87-89 car only 89 cars came with 140 speedo's on the V8 cars. The other differences on these dashes are the location of the fuse pannel and the shape of the seering column and cluster are different so just a heads up before you try to make something work that won't. As for the rest of the interior it is identical accept for te rear pannels and seats.

How are the seats different? And rear pannels, what do you mean? The car right now...has nothing in it!!! just the pure metal. And www.florida50.com has dashes for my car, then you put autometer gauges in it. Autometer makes a 200 mph speedo that fits directly into them...how the speedo cluster was made. I thought that since its an 88..any 87+ seats would work. But I will prolly just put race buckets in it. Thanx for all the info guys.
