Have a 91LX...all stock but exhaust..what is the largest cam I can go with and leave it stock (heads and stuff)?? Is it the E303 cam?? Also, whatelse needs to be replaced with the cam (springs and other stuff)?? Last, do i need a special tool to align or dial in the cam..if so does the cam come with it, or is it extra...not much else will be done to this particular..I just wanted the rowdy lope in it...all help is greatly appreciated... Alphabet cams aren't the best choice, however if I had to choose, I'd pick the B.
Yeah, you'll want to replace the valvesprings/retainers/locks with a quality set. 110lbs seat pressure will be plenty. Trick flow sells a setup through summit for $125 that'll work. You'll need a valvespring compressor ~$80.

You'll also have to degree the cam. Unless you trust dot-to-dot which can be off by as much as 9 degrees! Summit also sells a cam degree kit for $89. Or you can buy just the degree wheel for $32 & pick up a dial indicator & magnetic stand at a cheaper place. I found both at Harbor Freight for ~$7 each.

Maybe call Ed Curtis or Brian at HiTech, they'll be able to sugest a decent off the shelf cam. Hell, they may even have a nice used cam cheap.
