We just got finished installing aeromotives comp kit to the the 347 S-trim motor. With the old fuel setup everytime you gave it gas the pressure would drop first. This is totally wierd and shouldn't happen. Now it is still happening. I am thinking about installing a check valve near the regulator to keep the pressure up. When I disconnect the vaccum line and give it gas the pressure doesnt drop. It has a race bypass and don't know what the hell is going wrong with this damn thing. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME

The aeromotive kit comes with a one to one regulator if I remember correctly.

You have a problem with the signal line (vacuum when not in boost) going to your regulator.

It is either too small or too large.

How is it routed? Straight off of the manifold into the regulator?

This was happening before we even put the kit on with the adjustable regulator on the rail. Now it is happening again. The car was not in boost just at idel reving it up. If we disconnect the vaccum line and rev it up the pressure stays the same. It is really wierd. Should we install a check valve?
The line is right off the manifold back to the regulator

Aeromotive regulator is supposed to increase fuel pressure by 1lb for every pound of boost. Unusually problem your having. I'd give aeromotive a call. Had good customer service in the past.

What is your fuel pressure set at? Try setting the pressure up a little. I had the same problem when my regulator was set to low.

so does that mean when you get the kinks worked out of your fuel pressure that the car will be out and making people look bad?

hopefully the car will come out again soon. Right now it has a custom burn on the chip for a rich condition until I get it to the dyno again. I talked to byron and he said the pressure will drop right off the start. He told me to wait until it gets into boost and make sure it goes up. I am having a bad miss right now and trying to figure that one out. Damn car always causing me problems. When will it end so I can have fun with the damn thing
