The time has come to let someone else enjoy my '93 Lightning. I have too many toys, and don't drive it enough.
It's red. It's fast. It has all the mods a lightning owner would want. However, It's not a show truck. It could be with paint, bedliner, and a carpet kit. The seats and interior are in respectable shape.
The chassis/body has 160K on it or so. The powertrain has about 60K on it since complete rebuild/upgrade.
Here's the details:
1993 Ford Lightning. Engine: -Built 5.8L 351W -8:1 Forged Piston Engine -Fully ported Edelbrock 2.02 Aluminum heads ported by Gromm Racing in San Jose. -Heads machined for lockwire gaskets, and engine built with them. -Mustang 5.0 aluminum valve covers. -Motorsport shorty headers -Custom dual 2.5” exhaust -Roller Cam/Roller Rocker conversion -F303 Ford Motorsport Cam -42lb/hr injectors -Relay/Pressure kit for both Pumps at WOT. -Paxton Supercharger pullied for 6lbs boost. -130A Alternator -Produces 350rwhp/450rwft-lbs at 5-6psi. (over 400hp/500ft-lbs at the crank).
Controls: -Ford Motorsport Mass-Air conversion -90mm Lightning MAF -Crane Ignition amplifier -Upgraded plug wires -Custom calibration and dyno-tune. -Clean smog reports and EO Numbers for all modifications.
Transmission: -Level 10 built E4OD transmission and billet higher-stall converter.
Other: -R134A Air Conditioning Upgrade/Conversion -Cal-Trac traction bars by Calvert Racing. -Ball Joints and front end links have all been replaced. -Comes with 2nd set of 1993 Lightning wheels and tires. -Boost and Oil Pressure gauges on the A-Pillar. -Motorsport Aluminum radiator -Lincoln electric fan conversion -Repainted by Mustang Ranch in Santa Clara in 2010 -Badge delete; holes on fenders filled -Sticker delete; Vinyl stickers left off...have new ones in box if you want them. -Rear valance; no bumper. Flip-up plate with hidden hitch.
Notes: This is not a show truck; it’s a fast, loud, daily driver that was used as a pickup. The bed is scratched up from truck use. The powertrain is immeasurably better than stock. All modifications have CARB EO #’s associated with them.
I just non-op’d the registration to avoid paying registration on a vehicle I rarely drive, title is clear.
Price is TBD; if you're interested let's talk about it. It's more important to me that it goes to the right enthusiast than it is to get the last $500 out of it.
I intend to give it a bath and take pictures in the next week or so; and will update with a link to them when available.
The best way to reach me is by phone or text. 4O8-23O-7763. You can reply here, or PM here, but there will likely be a delay. [ 2017-04-18, 09:44 AM: Message edited by: Byron ]
