Looking to possibly sell my sn95 HID retrofit.

The quick rundown...
I completed the retrofit myself. It consists of replica cobra headlight housings, Morimoto D2S projectors, morimoto 5000k bulbs, E46r shrouds, with slim off-brand ballasts and theretrofitsource.com amp>D2S wiring. I aimed the the projectors to the best of my ability prior to sealing them up with 3M brand windo-weld and silicone sealing. I have been using them daily and have given me no issues whatsoever and no condensation buildup. They give a beautiful, wide flood of white light and have that signature blue cutoff band. They are a night and day difference compared to driving with halogens. If you know what kind of labor is insisted in going to a project like this, you know the price adds up big time. Add up time, labor, parts etc and its turns out to be big bucks. I'm in the $425 range plus shipping. For $25 more, I'll throw in the theretrofitsource high-beam harness to get full use of the retro. Here are some day-time pics taken today. Any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks. -mike

Yes I'm serious about my asking price. You obviously don't know what's entailed with a proper retrofit so keep it moving. I can honestly ask for much more. And by a "cheaper way," I'm pretty sure you're going to say throw in a shitty plug n play hid kit. But thanks for the bump.

He prob has nearly 400 in parts alone. If you are going to put HIDs on a car this is the way to do it.

+1 retrofit's are way superior to some cheap aftermarket projector housings with plug-n-play HID bulbs...

Real retrofitted headlights are worth it, not your cheap ass hid kit mated with your headlights with reflectors everywhere that were made for the stock candles. Buy some on your own and do a comparison before you hate, specially with your top ramen eating ass.

There's a big difference between what he did and HID Plug N PLays. The time and labor it takes to do a correct retrofit is extensive. Usually someone who does this intends to get it for himself.... I'm sure the seller didn't plan to sell it after he did it.

First off I'm not a newb you idiot!! And I was never hating, I clearly stated that. Since you guys want to jump down my neck about this I'm going to be upfront...

I know plenty of people who have the DDM tuning plug&play kit and it installed easily and looks great... Do you think your cool because you have custom HID's???? Nobody cares, take that to a import forum and you may find people to understand. People here are concerned with going fast or looking good.. I'd rather buy the cheaper kit and pocket the extra couple hundred when the look the same... The top ramen jokes are old also, real funny loser

Plug & Play kits, regardless of manufacturer, are still just putting an extremely bright bulb in a housing designed for a drastically lower candle power bulb. HID's in stock headlights, or aftermarket headlights designed for standard bulbs, will "look" good, but have terrible light scatter and refraction... The ONLY way to do HID's RIGHT, is to retrofit a genuine HID projector designed from day one to use a HID bulb... a projector that will actually focus all that candle power in the right direction.

There's nothing wrong with going cheap. Hell i have plug & play HID's in my car... mainly because the amount of labor involved in doing a GOOD retrofit is beyond what i would want to do... and it's hard to find people willing to do it for you. Like it was stated above, most people doing these retrofits do them for their own car. You don't see a well done set for sale all the time.

but implying that P&P kits are anywhere near as good as a retrofit is crazy.

Here's a decent write up with comparison pictures of true HID vs P&P in 99-04 Retrofitted Mustang headlight housings

I have many pics to add here taken from today/tonite. Doing this all through my iPhone4 so pics aren't the best. Hard to capture flicker too but you get the idea. Thanks.
