Autocross/Track Car: 1984 Mustang 2.3 Turbo SVO, 2 time SCCA Solo I National Champion.
Body straight, engine/turbo/drivetrain/suspension all in great condition. Full cage, fuel cell, 17" Cobra R's, Koni's, etc.
Been sitting for several years, I have too many projects, want it to go to a good home.
This vehicle is not street legal and intended for off-road purposes only.
$2,500, will consider offers.

Yes, this is a RACE CAR, there is no title. Can't smog it, can't transfer a title.
Mechanically its basically "stock" since the rules of the class it ran in didn't allow many mods. But the car was light and fast.
If your looking for a dual purpose car, this isn't it. It does NOT have A/C, no heater, interior is stripped, yes it has tail lights, it still has power windows since I've got no room in the garage, it's kept outside.
But don't feel bad, if I had a nickel every time someone asked me how much it would take to make it street legal....

Yes, I'm serious.
My question above was in reference to the car being a Comp Prep SVO. Some of the cars were built without a radio, ac and had manual windows. In some cases, comp prep cars numbered in the 100 or less range, so they're somewhat unusual. They were mostly meat to be used as low option racecars.
What is the cars history? Was it in any way sponsored by Ford or a major dealership?

No this isn't a comp prep car, I don't think they offered that package until the 85 model year. Until then it was available as option delete or made to order.
This was privately campaigned out of the Bay Area in SCCA SoloI and took 2 national championships in the late 80's. From what I was told by the original owner, Ford helped to some degree but there was no official sponsorship.
