due to getting f*cked from another member on this site up for sale is a non-running 1989 5.0 5spd coupe
motor: 306 gt-40 heads crane 1.7 rollerockers unknown cam
no intake
alum 4-core radiator
long tube headers x-pipe and mac mufflers
transmission has no reverse
4:10 auburn gears w/locker
upper & lower control arms
subframe conectors
battery located in trunk
now motor is hydro-locked or other internal damage due to incompitance<sp
selling for $3000 o.b.o
vehicle fees are paid
car is light blue w/blue int.

Hydrolocked? No reverse? how much for the car with no motor or tranny (since there fucked and not worth anything)?

I am the seller, I sold it on NOV 19 for $2700, I showed the buyer it running on NOV 14, I took parts off it that I wanted to keep, blower, intake, injectors, etc., and towed to them on NOV 19, I really dont know who is at fault, so I offered to exchange longblock, or some money towards the motor that Haulassmaro is selling right now, just to try to make things right, but new owner just wants out of the car.

Lee I was there when the started the assembly on the intake, YOU DID NOT drain the coolant when you RIPPES of your intake. when you did that the excess water drained though the head into(intake port) cylinder filling it with water-coolant, when we noticed we vacumed it out with a dry VAC, WE all know you can-not compress water.... I even vouched for you SAYN that you will make it right. ![[Frown]](frown.gif) , way to pass the buck ![[BS flag]](graemlins/bs_flag.gif)

.02, the buyer SAW the car run BEFORE purchase. Then the seller removes the intake etc and the buyer gets the car with an open motor. If the buyer didn't take the proper steps when putting the motor back together it's on him. The car ran, then is sold and more than two weeks later it's hydro locked? Sounds like Lee was MORE THAN FAIR to offer A SIGLE PENNY back. Sounds like the buyer MADE the situation worse and now wants out because he didn't take the steps he should have and now has made the situation worse.

reagardless, Lee tried to make it right. That's way more than what anyone else would do.

well i can see u and hidnnos do not know anything about cars so as far as your .02 u can run with it. if a car ran when it was sold and the seller removed the intake improperly how would simply installing an intake make these problems happen(like i said u guys do no not about cars) i would like to know how it is the buyers responsibilty? so u guys are saying its okay to f*ck fellow members on this board?

Bottom line, you don't know how to put a motor together and fucked up, you're SOL. You have a motor that is OPEN for more than 2 weeks in winter and all you do is install an intake etc. ON YOU.

So when someone savagely rips of an intake all BLAME goes to the new owner, YES they could have pulled a plug and let the water shoot out, But That shouldnt apply when you here the motor run,Then the OLD owner just pulled the intake, HEY hiddn nos, do you drain your coolant before you pull any intake off?

basic intake removal/replacement 101:
1st drain the coolant from motor
2nd install new intake
3rd drain the oil
take that to the bank
when step 1 is not done then everything gets water in it hense hydro-lock or other possible internal damage
