So, with the Obvious fact that many of us Mustang Owners are also avid gun owners, collectors, or builders. So with that in mind, I purpose we have a Day at the Range. I was thinking either in Castro Valley at Chabot, or at the Livermore Rod and Gun Club in Livermore. Both are outdoor ranges with rifle and pistol ranges. Both have clays for shotguns, then also allow shotgun slugs on the rifle range. Cost per person is $12-18. Depends on where we go. Neither range rents weapons or has a good selection for ammo. In other words, bring your own. Targets are available at either range. Eyes and ears are standard requirements. I was thinking first Sunday of March. Anyone interested? Also, do realize the ranges are BOTH used by MANY LAW ENFORCEMENT! So ZERO TOLERANCE of any horesplay, inappropriate actions, recklessness of any form (either on range or a facility with vehicles) will NOT be allowed!!!! This is for everyone who loves guns to come out and have a SAFE good time. [ February 19, 2012, 04:01 PM: Message edited by: 1Sicgt ]

Id be down if you ever want to do some shooting in the southbay at Los altos gun range. Could get a cruise going to hit up highway nine and head up there.

Is that Reeds? I was told they force people to buy and use their ammo. I'm thinking many gun owners are very particular to what brand ammo they use. Personally I do not want garbage rounds through my weapons.
On a side note: Perks to Chabot, you get an amazing drive to the range. Plus good photo op areas by the range.

No, its los altos gun range http://www.losaltosrodandgunclub.com/
here is their electronic pigeon range and to the left is the manual ones (one of your buddies has to cock it and hit the pedal)
You have to have biodegradable clays as you launch them over a valley in the santa cruz mountains (back of the range). they have ammo, but i have always brought my own (big5 specials). Its a great drive up there and is literally on the top/side of a mountain facing away from the valley [ February 14, 2012, 11:28 AM: Message edited by: Farrell ]

Los Altos is fun, I like their TIN can range. Depending on the date I'd be in,BUT it would have to be CHABOT, Livermore is a ways out there. Typically I shoot at Yolo , Concord , Petaluma , Richmond , With the Concord/Baypoint range being my home Range.
Id have to say finding a Range with enough spots for everyone should be considered in this. I know if i get to the range early its empty but within an hour of time it fills up quickly!
