who will be going up to reno that weekend? a few of us are leaving thurs night aug 8th tryin to see who else will be there

I'm going with about 8 or so peeps so far. Trying to get some more. We are going the first weekend though, August 3-4th.

events do not start untill the 5th, i thought it was the first weekend too but when i booked my hotel and checked the web-site it says aug 5th - 12th

I just went to http://www.hotaugustnights.net/ and it shows events starting on the 3rd. It says August 3-12. It says theres a Car show and shine at Summit Racing on the 3rd from 5pm to 9pm.

I went last year and MAN HAS IT CHANGED! The daytime car show is the same but the night time crowd is like a f*cking RAP VIDEO without the music. I doubt I will ever go again!

I think I am going up w/ friends that Friday and camping along the Truckee River. Where is everyones group meeting at if/when they go. It would be cool to meet some more people. Also I was just curious if anyone was going to do the Ca Fords Car Show then cruising up to Reno after that?

I actually enjoyed it ![[Smile]](smile.gif) . They moved the Saturday night cruise to Sparks which is only 2 or 3 miles from Virginal St. and everything was cool no problems or 22's. However, at about 1030 we went to Circus and it was pretty bad a lot of trouble makes and seemed like there were a lot of street walkers out; I know it is Nevada but still!

I did not attend this year , but have many times in the past including the year of the riots about 7 or 8 years ago. My friends told me that there was no cruising on Saturday night down Virginia St. in Reno. Last year, on Saturday night, the streets were filled with "moron kids" looking for trouble. It's a shame that these low lifes have ruined a once great family event.
The shows at the Peppermill and Atlantis Hotels are still very well attended as well as the show at Victorian Square in Sparks. Summit Racing has a cool show also.
Maybe next year......depends if the 67 vert is ready.
