Topic: Team SOLO needs your help to get to the ORTC race in Georgia

My CAFORDS friends:
We have an opportunity to represent the West Coast at the ORTC race October 22 through 24 in Georgia. We're taking off the radials and putting on what we know best! SLICKS!!! On slicks, the car has already been a 5.13 (video below) and we plan to up the nitrous to see what she can do on a really good track! One of our sponsors, Team Z Motorsports, has some parts coming my way to help us get some more weight out of the car. We'll be able to get the car setup and ready to go by this upcoming weekend.
Getting to the race is a whole other story! We could really use your help to get there. It is known that the gas bill to and from Georgia is well over $2,000. I'm working out the details to get on someone's rig to help with cover some of the cost; however, I'm asking for your help to get the car out to the race.
Anyone with a donation of $50 or more will receive a free racing shirt! Please know that every little bit helps: $5, $10, $20! And, to make it worth your while, should we bring the payout and the trophy home to the West Coast, we will pay back anyone that helps FOUR TIMES what they put in.If you donate $100 to the cause, you will get back $400.

Much appreciated and many thanks! I work in Palo Alto and live in Santa Clara. If I recall, you are in Brentwood. Let me know what works best for you. As an alternative, we can also default to PayPal. They have this way of sending 'personal' so that it doesn't charge the sender or recipient any fees.

The shirts that will be offered to you for the $50 and above donations will be available after the race. The plan is to place the order and get them for you right after I return from the race. I can ship them to you or meet you accordingly.

Great news…AED out of Sacramento has just stepped up as one of our sponsors to help get us to this race. AED’s Drew Wallace has provided us with a SIGNIFICANT donation towards the costs to get out to GA. It doesn’t stop there…AED is providing me with shirts to give out to any of you that donate $50 or more to help get us to the race.
I’d like to thank AED and Drew Wallace for getting us one step closer to making this race in Georgia a reality for our team.

Today brings more good news...we officially have a ride out to the race.
Over the last 1.5 weeks, we've been thrashing on the car not knowing if we'd even have a ride.
As of today, I officially have a ride out there.
