Hi All,

I live Orange County and have an 86 LX coupe that I'm trying to go 12.999 on the stock motor with bolt-ons. I just can't get the DA that I need down here in Southern California. I drove 3 hours to Famoso Raceway (Bakersfield), but the DA was 1200' and I ran 13.080 @ 101.98. I backed it up with a 13.087 @ 101.98.

Would it be worth it to travel to SAC to get my timeslip? If I do, I will also be travelling with my fellow buddy who is attempting the same thing.

I am mostly wondering what the DA is at in SAC on a Saturday ...

The car has a full roadrace suspension on it, so it only hooks to the tune of 1.71 - 1.72. How is SAC hook?

Here is the car:

Here is the videos I have so far:

take some weight out of the car and try again. It will be way cheaper then driving to SAC.

I think a trip to Sac would be worth your while. Last week the corrected altitude was around 400-500 ft I believe which isn't really that great around here. If you are going to make the trip I would hold off a little while and wait for the weather to get even colder. On a nice cool Jan/Feb morning I'm sure you'll squeek out the times your looking for [patriot]

And on top of this, it is just fun to race a different track every now and then [Wink]

Nice times for the MPH, what gear are you running, any weight reduction?

Jan and Feb are the coldest months up here.

If you are all about getting the fastest time possible, come to Sac anytime between now and February. The weather will be cool and the Saturday crew does a hell of a good job prepping the track compared to the Friday night TNT crew.
