Topic: red light camera self declaration courtesy notice?

Anyone ever had one of these? Pretty much telling my wife to call our local police department (menlo park) and snitch on herself after doing a turtle stop red light turn. I'm reading online to ignore these snitch on yourself tickets. Please any advice would be great. Thanks
BTW Picture is shitty quality I couldn't even tell it was my wife but of course I know its her. Guessing that's why they want her to declare herself with that notice??

The quality really improves when they bring the picture to court. I was the registered owner of my brothers 88 coupe, I went to court and said it's not me driving. I was asked who was driving and I advised I didn't know. I'm really not required to say shit to them. Dismissed. Now if she is on the paperwork or they know it's her I'm not sure how that works

I'm guessing she was turning by Facebook? Don't snitch on yourself, People take that light all the fucken time, it works when it wants to. not that facebook one. it was the one over by el camino near the safeway. guess there called snitch tickets, where you tell on whoever was driving the car if the pictures are not clear. everything online is saying don't be fooled and give yourself up. just ignore these so called "courtesy notices".....guess its a nice way of asking to give yourself up....btw was processed over by a 3rd party in arizona then sent to menlo pd.....sounds like a money making scheme by the city..

I got one in the mail 10+ years ago my wife ran a red light in my volvo.the ticket had her pic and said to call the number on the back and give them the name and lic number of the driver or face the charges blah blah blah and at the very bottom in small print it said please do not contact the court the ticket has not been issued and is not on file. I tore that shit up and tossed it I never heard anything else
