In case anyone else was wondering his collection of fox's and sn 95 cars brought stupid money!!! I was guessing his 85 svo would bring $30K comfortably, boy i was way off, it sold for $63K!!!!!!! and his 7up edition went for $74k this is out of this world. Not to mention those numbers are before the purchaser pays tax and a 10% auctioneers fee. The future is bright for those of us that own clean very low mileage fox's

I think people overpay for cars at these auctions. Everyone buying cars there have money to burn. I do believe low mileage fox body mustangs as clean as his are are going to bring good money in the future. I'd love to have an all original 93 cobra. I just don't have the time, money and space to long term store a car as a future investment.

It boils down to the fact his cars were possibly the absolute lowest miles on the planet, 7 miles is un real, but lets face it Hagerty just labeled the SVO mustang the 5th most collectable car built in the last 40 years, so yeah those cars with essentially no miles will bring crazy money. They are just really solid bank accounts cause you surely would never drive it.

I wonder how many low mileage Ford Turbo Coupes are out there with the dealer prep plastics on them LOL. That might be a diamond in the rough.

markets fluctuate...Ferrari Daytona's were way high a couple years ago now they dropped a couple hundred thousand.

common sense
990,000 fox bodies built will never ever be worth a ton of money.

gas monkey built a green chevy pick up...and tried to sell it at the cowboy ball...for 70k or whatever it was. Its still a 10 dollar pick up truck with a pretty bubble gum wrapper and a bunch of hype.

Well when someone who can probably afford any damn car on the auction block pay $74k for a fox body says something. Then again these are "special" fox bodies. I've seen a '03 Cobra roll across the auction block a year or two ago with 0 owners because Ford was auctioning it, sumbitch sold for $15k. [ 2017-01-19, 08:25 AM: Message edited by: NEIGHT ]

Last week a 93 cobra R didn't meet reserve and stalled out at 60k at the mecum auction in Florida. Those are some ridiculous prices.

I never heard of that before. I don't know if it's true or not, but it doesn't make sense to me as to why it would be salvaged if the car has never been driven or owned.
