Either you have a leak or you need to add more. They have a dye you can use to find leak

And make sure you ac compressor works

if you only used 1 can of the ac recharge it may not be enough. hopefully you used the big can too [Smile]

if there is not enough refrigerant in the system the AC compressor will not come on and engage. follow directions on the can and add more until it shows within the range on the gauge (assuming you got the one with the little gauge on it).

Otherwise take it somewhere that does an ac service for under $100.

Did you confirm you car has a 134a system and not the old r12 system? There is a possibility you put the wrong gas in there.

If it is a 93, you should have R12. The only problem with R12 is that they no longer sell R12 in california and i have no idea on how to get R12.

Mine needs to be recharged as well!!

If you got R134a you might of mixed the two substances!

Does your clutch kick on?

What the HVAC guy said.

Take it to an experienced persons.

You will have to flush the whole system asap before corrosion starts with r134 freon and the r12 oil.

At this point it's best to change the dryer out for a new one.

Swap out the condenser for one rated for r134 and change o-rings out on the entire system after checking the lines for cracks.

Kinda hard mix r12 and 134a in a a/c system as r12 has different fitting then 134a. An r12 has not been produced in the whole world since the 1990's and that's why it's so hard to find and if you do find it it cost lots of hard earned cash.
