Doing head gaskets on the 79 this week and wanted to know some good part numbers summit will carry for my application?
It already has arp intake bolts but what intake gasket do you recommend? Also can some one explain the fel pro pt3331 or whatever gaskets? I know there's 2 very close choices I want to be exact when I order. And a part number for arp head bolts please. Thanks guys!

I've got a set of ARP head bolts if you're interested. Never used on a running engine, only used for mock up. Let me know if you're interested.

I wouldn't go with the Edelbrock intake gasket the Felpro ms93334 is made like the original with same materials and has a steel core. And rtv can also be used on them unlike the composite style gaskets (Edelbrock, Felpro 1250)

Felpro MS93334 is what I used. I like the rubber front and rear gaskets. The only thing is that the ports on the gaskets were a bit smaller than the ports on the aluminum heads. Had to dremel them out a little.

Don't forget you'll need different spark plugs with aluminum heads. I bought cars with aluminum heads that had plugs for iron heads installed.
