If you are talking about the air to air intercooler, it's the same as the ebay one and I used it and it worked great up to 650hp

Yes, thats the one im talking about. Is there any downsides on adding one (loss of power,boost....)

My setup was a turbo so I never ran it without an intercooler, as long as you are running at least a 70mm turbo you should be fine

This is going on a 97 cobra with a vortech v2 supercharger, only mods are xpipe and mufflers.

Treadstones flow better over cxracing.

If it's a stock cobra motor and you don't plan on spinning that V2 a lot, I wouldn't put an intercooler on it

Its only pushing 10lbs, it will probably stay that way till engine blows, then going built with more boost

Were you able to keep your bumper Impact Absorber and all that?

I also have the cxr kit and no complaints yet. I was able to install it and keep the bumper support and foam piece. It fits behind the metal bumper support.
You could install a cxr kit, drop a pulley size and still be at or around 10psi but with more power and lower iat's. Its such a well priced kit that there's really no reason not to. And I assume that if you want to make big power down the road you could always swap out the intercooler it self with a treadstone unit while using the piping from the cxr kit
