#1 - I drove over an hour to get to this guy. He text me when I was ten minutes away and said the motor was at his cousins shop and he couldn't go get the motor out of his shop for another hour... I had been on the road for AN HOUR ALREADY! Not to mention, we had been talking all damn day!

#3 - The motor was just a long block with only a few external parts bolted on. It had No headers, no power steering, no idler pulley, etc. Not a big deal, but for a pullout, kinda wierd. He said his cousin pulled the intake manifold off "JUST CUZ." Again, kinda weird, but whatever. Throttle body was also not attached to the intake manifold. Makes no sense. This was supposed to be dropped in a fox....no need to pull all that stuff just to drop it in another shell!
#4 - The parts listed in bold, were not all there. This guy claims they were in his cousins shop still where he just picked up the motor, and he could not get them that night.
#5 - So I made him a cash offer minus the parts that he was missing and we would meet up for the remaining cash and the parts during the weekend. He said no, he would get all the parts together and meet me half way for wasting my time going up there and waiting for him to get the motor from his cousins shop for over 2 hours.
Now we are here... Either someone from the forums bought it, or his shadiness sold it to his cousin. Either way, shady as hell!! Not how business is done, and sure as hell not how you keep a good reputation.
Its shady ass people who shake hands on a deal, FACE TO FACE, and then sell or stab you in the back the second you turn that ruin good sites or turn into total craigslist scammers! Total BULL!!!

The moment you said it wasnt ready to go was a big ass red flag.
I wouldnt even have made an offer for the junk.
I had something similar from a still forum member here. At the time he lived up in oroville which is like 2.5 hr drive for me. Make a cash offer on stuff I was there to buy plus the rest of the stuff he pulled out including an F1R blower. only had half cash it was a sunday and hadnt planned on finding the other parts he was offering.
So only had cash to buy the billet 331 stroker. I showed him my bank statement and offered a check he says no. For godsake I could have covered the check 7k like 20 times at the time. I was just trying to avoid another trip to BFE. I say screw it leave and set up another meet date and he textes me a day later after I have withdrawn the money. says he changed his mind and doesnt want to sell anything including the parts he had posted for sale. I basicaly told him to fuck off for wasting my time.
5 hrs of drivetime 3hrs looking at parts bouncing from house to house looking at the parts he had stored in various garages. All I had to show for in the end was my gas bill at 12mpg.
Im sure he'll read this. God forgives I dont. Karma is a bitch.

I've dealt with him too, so id like to hear his side of the story first before I believe everything that has been said.
For example: I've turned punk ass buyers back home if we've come to a conclusion on price then get dicked down even more to the point I didn't want to fuck with them anymore. It's his shit and if he doesn't want to sell it to you it doesn't make h shady. It's his shit. Wah

Sorry, I apologized..and motor did go to a family member and cheaper ...I told you I needed the money fast and needed it gone that night and yes we shook on it and yes I told you what I would get the parts by sat for you and meet you up but ...my and anyone's priorities come first no matter what if u have to do it you gotta do it, i told you my situation. If you wana be butt hurt and make me look bad go right ahead. You said you were going to give me 3200 and give me the rest when I gave you the parts when I had you come to my house! Witch I dont usually do and now ur saying I would of kept them anyways, when obviously you knew where I lived. You would of just took off with the motor for 32 and never hear from you again no thanks...

Been here for a decent amount of time now..with no problems or complaints bought, sold, traded with no issue now all of a sudden I have you trying to put me down. So there we have it, op if you know a thing or two about drivetrains you'd know that 4100 for an engine tranny coyote style is minus accessories is a score bruh. Shouldn't have given dude a chance to sell it and gave him the dough then came back for the rest or just said fuck it and take what you coulda gotten. The deal wasn't completed, whether he shook on it or not he had to sell it and he found a solution and didn't have time to play it your way. So what now? Take him to judge Judy, or find anything out there as close as you coulda had that one time....

Why didn't the seller grab all the need parts when grab the engine from the shop when knew in his add said it was a complete pull out an an knew had a buyer coming to purchase the complete pull out for his asking price?
Sounds like it was not all there an the seller was pulling a bait an switch.

this happens way too often on this site. a man's word doesn't mean much on here when the mentally is "you do what you gotta do" and "hey, if someone comes first, too bad for you".
its happened to me before so i know where you're coming from. it's not even the fact that you missed out on a buy, but more that the DB can't keep his word and integrity to save his life.

Theres wayyyyyyy more to the story on this bullshit. This seller isnt Being truthful and is just trying to make the original poster sound bad. Lol this gets waaaayyy deaper, and shadier. Plushe wasted my time for over a month which I got over quick. Wasnt worth my time get all bent out of shade over. But this? Fuck this... I 100percent side with op on his issue with the seller.
