ok i have a 1970 coupe also have a Autopower 4pt roll bar i haven't installed; Is it worth installing for safety or be more in the way?

car already has Welded in subframes and center brace.

Not safe...I had a 4pt and removeable harness bar in my cobra thinking I'd still be able to take my kids back there. No bueno! Not safe at all...I didn't even try it.

I had this same debate on the Vintage Mustang forum. I think it's overcautious to say if you have a properly fitted roll bar that the rear seat is forever unusable without a helmet. There are several vehicles which come from the factory with roll bars and back seats. To say you can't sit anyone in the back seat with a roll bar means no one with a '67-'70 Shelby can sit in the back seat, no one with any year Bronco, Jeep, Samurai, or Land Rover Defender can sit in the back seat.
