im sure some will say that you dont need it, but i just put in a new low oil level sensor in my 91. When i took out the old one, the gasket seemed like it was in a round metal casing that seats under the sensors "head". My new one is just a gasket, and i cant seem to re-use the metal casing that was with the old one. Do i need it, or is the gasket by itself good enough? (I ordered the sensor and gasket from 50resto) Ill put some pics up later so you can get a better picture of what im talking about...

I just did the same thing as my old one had a minor leak. Ordered the *ahem* $60 sensor housing and $11 gasket. Replaced both and no more leaks. The new gasket was just that, gasket. No metal in it at all. Seems to be working well.

I did the same, just tightened it good. I couldn't find the torque spec for that.
I'd have to look but I think my original one looked similar. [ 2014-06-13, 09:58 AM: Message edited by: Marks93 ]
