Noob question, but how does as pinning the tires on the dyno affect the tune?

What dyno were you on?? I've seen 6-700hp cars not spin at all..maybe not strapped tight enough? Weird..

Like sic9250 said it probably wasn't strapped down good enough.

the graph will be real choppy, lots of waves and not accurate at all. its hard to get the car strapped in tight enough if the straps are not mounted lower than the rollers. try some vht and as many heavy people in the trunk as you can get

if it's spinning, there wasn't full load and will affect your results drastically.
we used NAPA Belt dressing at our last dyno session and it would fine even with a couple of 800+RW cars on the dyno

If the tuner is competent he will not try to "tune around" the slippage during the run. Any mechanical issue should be taken care of first (slippage means you have a lack of traction and that will need to be addressed first).

Slicks and you need weight in the rear. sand bags, weights, or people.
