Pulling out my engine to redo all gaskets due to the fact my engine leaks oil (Not sure if its the oil pan or the main seal, so mite as well do everything). My question is should i swap out my cam (for a trick flow stage 1 cam) since motor will be out of car? Motor is all stock with exception of bbk cold air intake. I plan on purchasing aluminum heads in the near future but can't find a good deal on any right now. Parts I have laying around that I will throw on once i buy the heads are Holley systemax manifold, 24 pound injectors, msd 6al, pulleys, 373 gears. Any advice is appreciated in advance. Thanks! ... car is a 1993 v8 notchback 5 speed.

What valve spring you have in the heads? Stock high mileage ones? If so, then I say no. The stage 1 has a .499 lift intake .510 exhaust. Max lift on a stock brand new spring is .500 So a high mileage spring will have even a lower spring rate.

Just swap it when you get everything like heads and intake. No point in doing it now.
