Topic: How much for a stock replacement motor for 99 Cobra?

A friend of mine wants to sell me his 99 Cobra that was diagnosed by Ford as possibly having a "rod knock, spun bearings, and maybe 2 blown cylinders."
I figured if I got it for cheap enough it may be worth fixing. How much are 32v motors going for?
Also, what do you think a reasonable price is for it in current condition?
-1999 white exterior (clean body)
-Tan interior
-about 97k miles
-18" chrome Saleens
-MGW short shifter
-JLT CAI

I'm honestly really looking to just bring it back to stock spec. It would be nice to get a Cobra R motor though.

Running that car is only worth $8-9 k at the most and I wouldn't pay that for a 99 ugliest year cobra next to the 94-95

No 5.4's for me. Like I mentioned, I want to bring it back to stock IF I buy it. Not looking to dump much into it.

^ how did I know that reply was coming lol,and turning one into a PLAYED out 03/04 clone is the way to make them clean ![[Confused]](confused.gif) lol put the bottle down bud,anyone who throws anything 03/04 besides the wing ruins a 99/01 cobra whole look in my eyes,everyone and there mom has an 03/04 front or rear bumper on these cars and there UGLY! Keep 03/04 parts on 03/04 cobras for crying out loud! 99/01 cobras FTW,one of the baddest looking cobras made ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

both 99/03 cobras are clean to me. i would only add the 03 duck tail on the 99 and actually make the side scoops functional. i hate the plastic thing on the sn95s
