6k has a light blue tint. If you want no blue at all, you need 5k and lower. I personally run 6k

Stay candlelight stock, looks better than scatter light. In order to not have scatter you'd have to buy wack looking aftermarket headlights

I just put a xentec 6000k kit in my '06. It was $30 on eBay and the quality seems pretty legit so far (especially for the price). the only catch is I lost my high beam. The only thing I don't like is its a little more blue than I expected, so I might order a 5000k kit.

I have 6k Im pretty sure I'd switch over to 5k or 5500 Max.

4300k is technically white light. 6k is blue or bluish. 5000k has a nice bluish tint bit not as ricey as 6000k.

This is all for looks. A stock bulb would light up the road better in Stock housings. An hid will just scatter light all over the place.

Plug-in HIDs will not increase nighttime driving (distance) visibility. The scattering and hot spotting associated with HID bulbs dropped in to halogen refractor housings is dangerous, and annoying to others on the road that are getting hit with random scattered beams that have no business shining upwards in to drivers eyes, instead of straight and focused out in a maximized beam directly ahead of the car.

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/bulbs/Hid/conversions/conversions.html

"The most dangerous part of the attempt to "retrofit" Xenon headlamps is that sometimes you get a deceptive and illusory "improvement" in the performance of the headlamp. The performance of the headlamp is perceived to be "better" because of the much higher level of foreground lighting (on the road immediately in front of the car). However, the beam patterns produced by this kind of "conversion" virtually always give less distance light, and often an alarming lack of light where there's meant to be a relative maximum in light intensity. The result is the illusion that you can see better than you actually can, and that's not safe."

Clean stock headlights with fresh OEM bulbs will direct more candlepower where you actually need it, illuminating the road as far in front of the vehicle as possible, than any drop in HID kit.

If you want HID, the best way to go is retrofitting a genuine HID projector in to your stock headlight housing. Otherwise, save your money and use it on new headlight housings or bulbs.

I have 6k from ddmtunning and the ultraclears head light housing ,no scattering at all, it's focused low to not bother oncoming traffic ,and now I can see . the 6k from ddmtunning seem very white to me.. They have a chart to see what color you want . I have had this on my car for Almost 3 yrs no yellowing has happened to the lenses.
