How hard is to to remove the door moldings on a foxbody. Its a for a 89 hatch , wondering because I could buy a set for 60$ verses paying 300$ for new ones. Want to paint my car soon

Not hard at all, I know for sure harbor freight has a cheap trim removal kit that you just pry it off. then sand off any extra glue and gunk so that when you apply the new molding it's already clean and flush

Use a heat gun and get them hot then peel them off. Or let the car sit in the sun for a while. Not sure on a hatch but on my coupe the ones by the front bumper rear bumper and next to the doors like the quarter panel area had little metal nuts that spin onto the plastic studs of the pieces

Yea those will be easy to get, it's the same as on the hatch. The guy I want to get them from said I could use a screw driver to get them off lol, but from the responses it doesn't seem like it

Not hard I pulled some the other from pick n pull. You need like a trim removal blade it has a handle. Just make sure you don't bend the mouldings
