I don't see anything wrong with either kits. Both will handle more than the stock block. Are you trying to keep it NA?
A 11 to 1 347 would be nice [ 2013-10-30, 03:44 PM: Message edited by: Pure Stang ]

Yup. N/A. Custom cam, 1.6 rr, Edelbrock 2.02/1.60 (60cc) heads, RPM2 manifold, 30lb injectors, & bolt ons.

Are there really anything better about the other kits I posted for $100-$200 more, or would I be fine with the 1st kits I posted? I will be tracking the car a few times per year, but it's gonna be mostly an aggressively driven street car. [ 2013-10-30, 03:45 PM: Message edited by: *EPIK* ]

I wouldn't mind 11.0.1, but would that be safe on 91 octane?

On my old 347 the 30's where getting pushed a little I'd do 36's to be safe. Especially on a 10 or 11 to 1 comp. either way should be a screamer when done... My old 347 made almost 410rwhp with custom cam, ported afr heads, rpm2 and bbk 1 3/4 long tubes.

I don't see why not. 11.1 is the most I would do on 91. Couple guys have 11.5 to 1 but I'm not to sure how theirs are driving..

Yeah, I know the 5.0 modulars are like 11.0.1, but those have knock sensors etc. It just sort of scares me since I plan on driving the car A LOT.

Nice, yeah, I was hoping for like 390-410 rw, but I know my heads aren't as good, & I have 1 5/8 longtubes for now.

all the kits you posted like purestang said, they are all good. If it were me though, i would only do the 347 stroker kits, get the one that has a 5.315 connecting rods with arp hardware which is prolly the rod bolts. I would also include arp main studs to go with it. Since your keeping it n/a you can just use arp heads bolts up top and be fine. As far as compression goes i would shoot for 11to1.To make 390-400rwhp with your rpm heads might be a little tough,it can be do able but your gonna need a few other parts to make up for the lack of head flow which is fine.

My heads will be ported too BTW. Plus, full longtube back exhaust, anderson NA power pipe & 75mm TB. I mean, I know they aren't AFR's, but do those heads really flow that bad to begin with? My car with the stock bottom end, same heads, manifold, 70mm tb, E cam, mac cai, 19lb injectors & stock fuel pump made 300 rwhp/320rwtq. I thought that was pretty good for my combo?

Well since their gonna be ported it should make pretty good power. Those heads stock are a 170cc or so, after their ported they will be around a 185cc depending how much they port. Flow will be good from all valve lift points. Your setup should make 390rwhp all day as long as it has good compression and is a healthy motor. If you can throw in an electric water pump from mezeire, thats a gauranteed 8-11rwhp gain and they work great. Any more questions and ill continue to answer no problem.
