I don't know man...
I see these "scientifically backed" claims above about it being less harmless and addicting, I just still have a hard time with it. How many of you have personal friends that have higher education (BA/masters+) that have made their way advancing in their careers and live in Marin County, Danville, Lafayette, Kensington, Piedmont, etc. and still smoke weed as a grown adult? I heard what he said that weed isn't what makes you lazy and lethargic, that its the individual, but its hard for me to break the stereotype in my mind LOL.

Zero deaths per year? That's based on what...smoking 2-3 joints per day I assume. Most people smoke a pack or more of cigarettes a day (20+). Try doing that with weed and I bet those statistics change, not to mention your functionality! ![[dance]](graemlins/dance.gif)
Not addictive?? ya right!! I had a hell of a time quitting weed many years ago. Cigs are much more addictive though because of the added chemicals.

Find a case when someone od'd on mj? It's out of touch fossilized squares like yourself that keeps stereotypes alive. It's ok though, it's only a matter of time before its completely legal in the country and the symbiotic relationship humans have with this amazing plant will continue after its very brief stint being illegal is over.

More like 2-3 blunts(2-3 times the size of joints) a day. I am not addicted either I can stop tomorrow if I needed to but I don't need to so I might as well enjoy it. But there are times where I'm extremely high that I'm stuck on stupid but of course I wouldn't operate heavy machinery till I come to a little bit more. Most people don't just smoke weed tho I know a lot of people that like to do a lot of coke then smoke a blunt and I seen on TV where this dude like to do meth, then a line of coke and then a joint and that's where I think stupid shit happens. LOL
I'm not here to argue with anyone tho kuz I could care less if it's legal or not I still do it.

I didn't say anything about od'ing or not legalizing. I was just commenting on the first bullet item between smoking 20 cigs+ per day and the effects of that (proven lung cancer, COPD, respitory issues, death), and smoking the same amount of weed for the same amount of time which hasn't been researched for long term effects of this. I'm not sure it can be researched if someone smokes that much weed. Maybe Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong can enlighten us!!

I don't buy the not addicting aspect just because it doesn't have nicotine doesn't mean people aren't hooked. I don't see it becoming legal just like you can't smoke cigs in public, its taboo now. I wouldn't want someone working on my car or doing my taxes puffing a blunt then returning to help me out it's just my take.

Well I'm shure if it were to become legal they'll treat it like alcohol therefore you can't smoke while at work. I've stopped smoking every time I've had to do a pee test no problem even with everyone smoking around me.
