looking to get back into shape and just wondering if anybody knows any promotions going around or any deals for gym membership. stay in the east bay area preferably around fremont hayward or union city

Planet fitness is for lazy fat chicks. Cheapest is 24 hour fitness. You can buy a two year pass for $350 (buy it now before it goes up again, it used to cost $299, then $319 and now it's $349). Comes out to less than $16 a month and you can go to any 24 hour fitness that's not a super sport.

Look for the closest gym to your location and sign up, that way you make sure it's easy enough for you to go on the regular

I would Say go to Crunch not the cheapest but great equipment and class plus very clean

gyms are a waste of time and money unless you are committed for sure, most people aren't. about two 3rds of the people that have gym memberships stop going eventually and some memberships are pretty pricy. do some pushups, situps, and buy a pull up bar. way less than any gym and youll prolly be more likely to workout everyday at home.

no I just speak of my own experience and facts. the gym is definitely not the only way to get back into shape... and p90x/insanity all those workouts will get you into shape way faster for much less money
