Car is a 1992 Lx making 500+ rwhp. Which are the best bang for the buck for drag racing? Also, what is better: Boxed or Tubular?

Why not maximum Motorsport? I have the adjustable ones and I like them. But if you want to go a cheap route heard good things about the upr ones.

I don't understand people like you. You have 500+ rwhp, yet won't spend another $100 or so on good adjustable control arms. Why not? Are you even going to change the uppers? Any of these arms will be fine. I used the bbk's on a lot of cars, and they have always helped out. Still don't understand why you don't buy a good pair of arms. It is well worth it. [patriot]

Hold your horses lol. I recently hit the 500 hp mark and found out that my current lower grade summit brand uppers and lowers cannot handle so I ordered the baseline pro-launch 1 kit and realized that I should have ordered the HD lowers at the same time. I just know that there are other name products that will do the job rather than forking out more money for a well known brand like Maximum Motorsport. I understand what you mean, I just don't have a whole lot to spend.

The BBK's do look pretty stout.

Then save your money tell you can get a better set. You going to be bummed when you have to re-buy a good set down the road. Why not try to get a used pair. You don't have to use MM. Shit I used a brand the went out of business. I have Hp-motorsports mega bite sr. upper and lowers. I bought a used pair for my coupe back in the for $60 + shipping. I understand not having enough money. But I'd tell you just save up the money and buy a adjustable lower. Again the bbk's are great for the money. I haven't used the other brands, but I'd bet they will be just as good as the bbk's.

Thanks for the advice, I'll look around for a used set, but to be honest I'm leaning towards the bbk's. But what is the difference between boxed and tubular as far as strength and quality?

if you look at the design of the bushings, all the control arms you have listed will bind and stress your torque boxes because they do not allow proper articulation of the rear axle because it needs to move freely over uneven surfaces and bumps

I would only recommend control arms with a spherical bearing on one end, if not both ends for freedom of movement

MM, team Z upr, griggs,baseline

I wouldnt buy BBK controls, they won't last for what you trying to do, the TeamZ controls arm only $200 for the lowers

There's some brand new team z lowers in the for sale section right now. I would have already picked them up but I'm working on another part of my car at the moment

They don't have mounts for the sway bar, I'm still using my sway bar.
