Near the union city area. Currently working at Costco but I'm so tired of customer service, pay and benefits are ok. But need more...since i am only part time. And hours are not so good right now...and defently not looking to stay here forever.
All I have as of right now is a high school diploma. Any city jobs? Like to keep it local bcuz of my family(wife and kids). Willing to learn anything. Good with computers. Some mechanical knowledge of course. Let me know.

Other than that, you should really look into college. Even if its community college, you will not regret it in the next coming 20+years.

Fuck dead end jobs.

Having only a high school diploma and no specialized skills will make it very difficult, but not impossible to find a good paying job.

If you are young, don't be a stupid fool; learn a trade, go to college, the military or get in with a good company.

understandable if you dont have this option so make the best of what you have in front of you.

This^^^. True fact.

Going to college and getting an education is one of the best decisions I've made.

If you think college is going to be expensive, you should start now because it will NEVER get cheaper.

There are all sorts of financial aids, Board of Governor's Fee Waivers and General Assistance to help you take care of your family.

Yes, you might have to give up a few hobbies (Cars/toys/guns etc.) just to stay a float financially. But being able to put money aside for your babies college life and getting by comfortably, seems more rewarding.

Take on the college life now so that your kids can have a proper example when they grow up.

AT&T is hiring Premise Technicians (Uverse installers). It's a union job, lots of OT, good benefits, and a high school diploma is sufficient. As long as you have a valid drivers license and a clean piss test, they will consider you.

im all for him going to school but going to college doesnt mean hes going to learn much about the world and life. he definately wont have everything figured out, but that degree would definately look good on the resume which is the most important thing to employers. Im a graduate btw.

The area of study has a lot to do with not finding a proper career. Usually big companies look for Accounting and business administration degrees.

If you hold a Business administration degree, it is a well known fact that you will Not struggle on your job hunt.

To the OP, I would really take the time and research into what fields are going to be in high demand for the next 10-20 years.
