I've been to the SEMA show in Vegas plenty of times and I never worried about the cost to register for the show. I will say that I always worried about the crappy food inside the Las Vegas convention center. The second hand smoke from the Casinos was no picnic either. worst thing about Vegas; the fuckin smokers. Fuck you you fuckin smokers!

no they arent. they are usually about $25 a person for early registration. badges take for ever to get so if your thinking about it get on the ball asap. you do have to be a part of the industry to go. also look into the free breakfast's that are offered those spots go quick. optima ultimate street car challenge tickets are separate from sema and are I believe about $30 ea. you do need an honest week to see everything.
also dont forget sema tickets get you into the apex show, and if you drive I have seen folks walk out of there with free tool boxes the last day.
Also look to stay somewhere on the strip that has monorail access at that hotel. after walking all day last thing you want to do is weave through all these casinos and cross over and weave to your room, make no mistake SEMA is huge! 4-8 hour days didnt allow me to see it all. any questions just shoot me a pm.

Never been to Sema, but I've been to CES many times ,and if it's anything like that, then yes you have to be in the automotive industry and like earlier does take forever to walk that convention center ... Good place to network and get new distributors and check out new products ..also all the cool rides and model chicks.. But if you haven't got a badge yet good luck , we would usually send in for badges almost 9 months in advance ...

$25.00 a badge, you have to have a business in the automotive industry and need to be approved by the board before they even sell you the badges. I always register months in advance, normally around July. I received my badges 2 weeks ago. I believe online registration will be jumping to $75.00 any day now. If you wait too long, you will have to pay a lot more per pass and you'll have to get passes at the door. You will need atleast 3 days of 6-8hrs to catch most of the show.
