Sounds like one of your pulleys siezed....water pump, power steering, smog....
But don't know why that would make the car die, perhaps too much stress on the engine?

When you did your oil change, did you remember to flush the motor with water? That might be your problem. You have to really make sure you get all of that old oil out and start fresh.

Na spun bearing woulda made a knockin noise.especially off idle,sounds like a wp bearing fried an is causing the motor to bog down enough to die...or alternator bearing,either one could easily go out an cause this,I think bein low on oil is just a coincidence,but for future refrence. so i know i was jokin a bit, but its in my nature, but i was serious with my spun bearing answer(not the one in the muffler..umm shit sorry)....all jokes aside do you know what really is going on? and we are takin guesses, or are you not sure and really tryin to diagnose with our help? just curious, and im still sayin spun bearing!....take the belt off and see if you can get it to run even for a min, no noise and i'd say u got a pulley/pump issue, still noise and you can at least eliminate any pulley/pump that requres that belt to spin!!

What's is wet with? Water or oil? If it's water, probably blew a hose or something and it was your water pump seizing.
