My wife wanted the big wedding. Here parents spent around 30 if I remember right....... Now she wishes we would have used that money for a down payment on a house.
I don't see the point in having a big ass party when the divorce rate is 50% anyways.
Unless you already own your own home and are financially stable enough to afford that much, then go for it.

Ours way around 25k. 7years ago. My boy got married last year and it was alot cheaper. In this economy u can get deals. Remeber to shop around though.

Had about 110 guests and ours was something like $15k-$17k. Shit adds up fast. Food is the biggest cost. Keep your guest list small and you can save a ton of money. Also, get married on a Friday or Sunday, rental fees are usually cheaper and you get the place longer than on a Saturday.

We had about 120 guests. After everything was said an done. We paid i believe near $22,000. It was a great wedding though.

I have been with my girl for a little over 6 years. I don't plan on getting married, nor having kids. Idk why anyone would want to have kids in this fucked world. But thats just my opinion. Plus its easier to GTFO when shit goes south.
But, I suppose if I do get tricked, Ill be at the courthouse saying my "I DO".
