Yes, the Camaro couldn't touch a Foxbody in the 1/4, but the Camaro would kill the Foxbody in cornering and top end. Just ask the 5.0unlimited guys, they would take a 5 speed Camaro that normally came with a 305 and put a 383 in it to keep up with a Foxbody and they loved their Super Trapp mufflers back then.

I wanted a 3rd Gen IROC-Z so bad in high school... I remember I was super disappointed when my parents bought me a 4th gen LT1 Z28 instead... hahaha I had no idea at the time how much better of a car the 4th gen was...
I still wouldn't mind building an IROC-Z someday... LS1/T56 swap

Buddie had a third gen with a ls1/t56 swap, bear brakes etc. Great car I wish he never sold it.

That is a beautiful fox! That car is perfect! Love the chop of.that cam too. When I was looking for my first muscle car back in the day I considered a 3rd gen f body . I LOL at that now. I'm glad I found my 89 coupe then.

My buddy (car game goofy) traded his iroc because the fuel pump was going out, for a blazer with 184xxx

I used to have a 88 GTA and I loved that car.
The problem with the 3rd gens is that damn tpi intake. It makes a ton of TQ but runs out of steam @ 4K rpm's. Would have been a better truck intake than for the cars.

I sold a 1991 S10 Blazer 2-door with Tahoe option package and 4x4 a few years ago for $1,000... clean title and had 167k miles... I would have traded it for an IROC in a heartbeat...
