I dislocated my ankle back in October last year and I NEED to hit the lanes again. I'm able to walk/jog now, so I'm sure bowling is in there as well. Anyone in Sac down to hit the lanes sometime soon?

Good, being able to do both and knowing when to switch between the two makes a big difference. Looks like you do leagues I'm guessing. What ball do you use?

I worked at bowling alleys through high school and college, and got pretty good. I was averaging 225 when I moved to Sacramento. Then I got my current job and started working nights and traveling a lot for work, haven't been in about a year or so, and am a little rusty.
I used a old Speed Zone for my main ball and an old as shit Blue Nail for my spare ball.
Oh yes, when I was younger I often had to work on my league nights. So I learned how to bowl in street shoes without damaging the approach or myself. Made a lot of money bowling for money that way.

Try shifting you pointer finger, that and reaching down out further with your pinky can help get more lift on the ball.

my high was 150-160ish my avg is about 110ish. i suck. after a few frames my shoulder goes out

I used to bowl.. Went to SD , reno, and Hawaii for a few tournaments.. Lol..
Best was a 268.. Haven't gone bowling in a lonnnnggg time though..

Are you sure your not white? LOL
I bowl ok..... But my friend at work can bowl real good. First time I hit the lanes with him he shot a 288 to my 228 LOL
