DSS is a fairly reputable company, I have heard nothing but good things about all their products. And for $880 if it comes balanced that is a good deal. I bought an unbalanced Scat 347 kit and that was a little under a thousand. So hey for $880 I'd go with the DSS.

I've heard good/bad things about dss, and I've heard good things about chp. Another company you might want to look into is fordstrokers.com

since it's only 880 i'd invest in some better balancing and a proper assembly, I think you will have good results if you use that process regardless of what brand bottom end you go with.

yes hit the nail on the head,i purchased a kit ,came with free balancing and i took it to get re-balanced and luckily i did,it was off a bit and i also rebalanced using my flywheel and balancer ,which they never asked for they just assumed 28.0oz
