The value of fox-bodies to most insurance companies doesn't make it worth it and most cars stolen were foxbodies.

Insurance job on a foxbody not likely what could you possibly get back for it if they pay based on the blue book value of the car plus most pepole don't even hold full coverage on these cars but I've never had a foxbody stolen from me so what would I know but my 03 cobra got stolen about a year and half ago it valued at 22k!!

This.

I have full coverage but will get probably 1/2-1/3 of what i have put into my car since they will pay me bluebook on an 85 5.0. and that's just money invested, not blood and sweat from working on it....

What about for example if Termi's and SN95's get stolen and stripped, could that be an insurance fraud since the PATS system helps them out?

Because the owner can always make double his money, do an insurance job, sell all the parts to his buddies, and then just file the report and none of the "high performance" parts they had on their original car get marked as stolen because no reciepts were ever shown and then they still get their kbb value for the car.

Yeah which in the case of an insurance job, means you get your 10k in parts back, you sell other parts on car and make about 1k-1.5k and on top of that you get the money from the insurance which could be around 3-4k so thats areound 15k dollars for a foxbody

Receipts yes but you would have to declare it and nobody would want to pay that premium

+1 it all depends on the particular insurance company and what their coverage includes... you can't just claim your car was stolen, and show them $30k in receipts and expect every company to react the same way.

Not to mention, some insurance companies have a cap on how much additional value you can add to a car over book, regardless of what the receipts add up to.
