Im going to build a budget pavement pounder.. Im just gonna give my fellow cafords peeps the run down on what im going to need, so if you guys have these laying around and might wanna get rid of them lmk.. I want a 87-93 coupe or hatch roller, i would prefer a lx. an efi 302(its going to be rebuilt), a borg werner t5, and a rearend with 3.55s or 3.73s.. The h/c/i has yet to be decided on yet.. My budget is about 3500, maybe a lil more if need be, so you guys help a brother out!! Thanks ahead of time!! Mods idk if this is the wrong section or not just figured it would be seen by more people here

Find a coupe, and go GT40p's, Tfs1 or bcam, GT40 intake. If your only looking for a reliable, 12 second DD, I promise you that you will not go wrong. For the price of new aluminum heads, you can buy P's, clean them up, get them ported, and still have money for a cam and intake. I absolutely LOVE my car, it run's tits, performs well, and gets great mileage.

If you have 35 as your budget then why do u want to start with a roller ? From my experience starting with a roller has it's own issues let alone the work that goes into it . For 15 to 2k you could find yourself a decent 5 liter hatch ready to go. Then put your remainder of your funds towards mods and registration etc. Trust me, your better off starting with something that's got a engine/trans that runs.
Just my 2 cents

Ur right bro.. but i just thought that i would have a better chance finding what i want if it were just a roller. I will buy one that way if i find a decent one

It goes like this ; would you rather pay X amount of dollars for a mustang that has no engine or transmission that has a fairly clean exterior but needs alot of work. ? Or would you rather buy a mustang that has a engine and transmission thats stock and runs like a champ but the exterior isn't that great, i.e. paint fading/chipping etc..
I'd rather go with the second ., I'll try to find you some decent CL ads in your price range just to help you out. [ January 08, 2012, 06:58 PM: Message edited by: RONIN ]
